Kids Toy Storage Solutions

There are many ways to tackle clutter in kids’ bedrooms. Kids toy storage solutions come in many forms and applications including a storage bed, closet system, and toy boxes. Kid’s toys, clothing, accessories, and books can all be stored neatly so your children can easily access and put away their own things. Toys are especially important to store when not in use because they can become a hazard on the floor. Children can strip and fall because of clutter. Most injuries to small children are because they trip and fall onto other hard objects. It is wise to begin teaching your children organization in their bedroom and play area early on in life. The older children become the more difficult it is to teach them simple tasks like putting things back where they found them.

Kids storage bed frames are the most innovative way to remove clutter from a bedroom. Beds with storage come in many different sizes including twin or single, full or double, queen, and king. The larger the size of the bed the more storage space it contains. A children’s bed with storage will typically have about three drawers underneath for storage or clothing, toys, or other smaller items. Some beds also come with shelving on the headboard and footboard. The shelving can be used to store books, collectibles, or decorative items.

Closet systems are another great solution for removing clutter from a child’s space. Closet organizers come with many forms of storage including shelving, cubbies, and hanging space. Cubby space can be used to store toys in small plastic boxes with lids or bins without lids. Larger plastic storage containers can also be used within the shelving, on top and the bottom of the closet. Color coordinating the toys to specific bins is a great way to teach your child how to put things away on his or her own. For instance, in a girl’s room you can place all dolls in a red bin or all of the dress up accessories in a pink bin and so on. In a boy’s room, all of the cars can go in a blue bin or all of the building blocs in a green bin and so on.

Toy boxes are a last resort because they will take up space within the room. Toy boxes can also be color coded so the children know where things are supposed to go. You can find many different types of kids toy storage solutions online. The internet is full of great storing ideas.
