Muscle building has long been thought to be part of a bodybuilder mindset, but the truth is that everyone can build their muscles and become stronger. Train at least three times per week. You need at least three training sessions every week if you want to see significant muscle growth. If you are really new at weight training, this can be reduced to two at the start; however, you should increase the number of sessions per week as soon as you are able. Keep the core trio of exercises in mind and always have them in each of your routines. These mass-building exercises include dead lifts, squats and bench presses. These types of exercises help add bulk in addition to strengthening and conditioning your body. Incorporate a variation of exercises like this in your workouts regularly.


You should completely exert yourself when performing weight lifting exercises in order to maximize your muscle gain results. Do this by forcing yourself to keep doing one more repetition until you absolutely cannot. This sends a clear signal to your body that you need more muscle. Remember to get help from a spotter so that you do not suddenly drop the weight when you are finished.


A large factor in increasing muscle mass is ingesting enough protein. A good way to get all of the protein needed is to consume supplements and protein shakes. They are particularly effective after a workout session, and also before going to sleep. If you would like to drop fat and build muscle at the same time, you should just consume one per day. If your goal is to also increase your mass, consuming as many as three per day will be beneficial.
