Party Guests Rave About LED Art Glass

When Bill and Stephanie threw a party shortly after their new LED art glass sculpture became the focal point of their home, “everyone raved about the glass,” Stephanie said.

The homeowners entertain mainly in the bar, kitchen and living room areas of their Florida Keys home. Three plain glass windows separated the two areas but added nothing to the interior design of the home. It is the perfect spot for the LED art glass to light up, change colors and be enjoyed from both sides.

Glass artist Peter Edward Jurgens of Krystal Glass Company created the LED art glass of a swordfish swimming underwater on a 100” long piece of etched and carved glass illuminated with multicolored LED lights. He replaced the old interior windows that separated the entertainment areas. The homeowners and their guests can enjoy the enormous LED art glass sculpture from any of the living areas of the home. The glass around the swordfish design was left clear so you can see through it whether in the bar area or the kitchen and living room on the other side.

“Thank you SO much!! The swordfish is beautiful! Pete’s artwork WELL EXCEEDED our expectations & makes our whole kitchen/living space,” Stephanie said in a thank you letter she sent to Krystal Glass Company.

A custom-made frame holds the LED art glass in place beautifully in the existing wall opening where the old windows were removed. The frame is custom painted to blend with the wall color and makes for a perfect fit for the built-in LED art glass. The beautiful glass sculpture is now the main focal point of the home and enjoyed from throughout the living areas.

“We couldn’t believe how quickly it was finished and installed. Pete, Karen, and Eduardo are wonderful, professional people to work with. Just fantastic, thanks again, can’t wait to come up with another project!” they wrote.

When they aren’t entertaining the couple enjoys the tranquil beauty of the LED art glass all to themselves. “I often find myself quietly admiring it in the evenings when it’s all lit up. We just love it!” Stephanie said.

Sport fishing is a favorite pass time in the Florida Keys and Bill and Stephanie get out on the water every chance they get. They love nautical artwork and knew that Peter Edward was the perfect artist to create their vision for the LED art glass. They also requested him to etch a bull dolphin design on the glass transom window above the entry door.

“We were amazed with the dolphin he etched onsite above our entry door, unbelievable!” they added.
